Board Secretary

Professional Background:
I've been a RN for over 15 years mostly in emergency/trauma. I am currently a Professor of Nursing at Collin College in the Nursing ADN and LVN programs. Originally from east Texas, I was a 20+ year volunteer for the East Texas Lightnin', a non-profit team of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that competed in Special Olympics events.

Connection to Fine Arts on Main:
I found my place at FAM after competing in the first Farmersville's Got Talent show. I didn't know anyone in town and FAM was so open and welcoming. I eventually started auditioning for multiple shows and volunteering for anything needed.

Skills & Contributions to the Board:
I have experience with fundraising and community engagement. I also believe that a hardworking board is what can make or break a non-profit, so I contribute my time, money, and energy as much as possible.

Fun Fact or Personal Interests:
I love to refinish furniture and save items from the landfill. I am a full-time caregiver for my brother, Steven, with Down Syndrome. I also played semi-professional basketball in my early 30s after being told I would never play college- Don't give up on your dreams!!
